Summary\n- replace the homepage's hand-written HTML blocks with Markdown-native MkDocs content\n- keep the buttons through attribute-list classes instead of custom markup\n- remove the homepage-only CSS that no longer has any matching content\n\n## Verification\n- uv run mkdocs build --strict\n- uv run pytest tests/test_docs_site.py -q\n- confirmed docs/index.md contains no raw HTML tags
